    AkLA Members:

    1. Log in with the email address that you used to login to become a member of AkLA. Check or renew your membership status if needed. You may need to try both personal and work emails. If you aren't a member this would be a good time to join so you can get the member rate. If you still have trouble logging in contact Stacey Glaser at eo@akla.org for assistance.
    2. Select "conference registration" on the green bar. When registering, use the email address you used to become a member of AkLA. If you aren't able to remember which email address you used to become a member try using both your work and personal email addresses to log in.
    3. Please save your confirmation email for future reference. 
    4. Registrants unable to attend the conference must apply for reimbursement in writing by March 6, 2025. Please see the Conference website for the complete refund policy. Any refund requests must be made to Jessica Ieremia at jessica.ieremia@cityofsitka.org.

    Non-Members:

    If you'd like to pay the reduced rate for members, see the AkLA Members section above. Otherwise go directly to Registration.

    Meals:

    Thursday breakfast (3/26), and Friday/Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner (3/27 & 3/28) are included in the registration cost.

    Whale Watch Cruise:

    There will be an optional Whale Watch Cruise opportunity with Allen Marine on Thursday, March 26th from 2-4pm for $65 per person. To sign up, register for the conference and then go back in again to register separately for the cruise. Space is limited, and registrants may pay for up to one additional guest to join them on the cruise. The guest does not need to be registered for the conference.

    Totem Trail and Battle Site Historic Tour:

    There will be an optional Walking Tour on Thursday, March 26th from 2-3:30pm for $50 per person. Walk from the heart of Sitka into the rain forest. We will encounter Lingit culture, Russian adventurism, and the American Colonialization of this new territory while traveling the streets and trails of this historic town. The tour will be on level terrain. Dress for wet winter weather. To sign up, register for the conference and then go back in again to register separately for the cruise. Space is limited, and registrants may pay for up to one additional guest to join them on the cruise. The guest does not need to be registered for the conference.

    AkLA is committed to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, national origin, or religion. Harassment of conference participants in any form will not be tolerated.

    Prohibited behaviors include, but are not limited to:

    • Harassment or intimidation based on race, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, appearance, political affiliation or beliefs, or other group status.
    • Sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact.
    • Yelling at or threatening conference presenters. This applies to in-person or virtual interactions.

    Participants asked to stop hostile or harassing behaviors are expected to comply immediately. Conference participants violating these rules may be expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

    If you are being harassed, observe someone else being harassed, or have concerns, please notify our chair Jessica Ieremia (jessica.ieremia@cityofsitka.org) or the registration desk immediately. We will be happy to assist with immediate intervention or escort and contacting law enforcement if necessary. We value your attendance and well-being.

     Mapping the Future AkLA Conference Logo

    Hello!

    1. Vendors/exhibitors and nonprofit organizations can use this registration page to choose a sponsorship level or make a donation. 

    2. If you are planning to attend the in-person conference and would like an Exhibit Table (in-person or unattended), please indicate that with your registration. Tables are available for vendors at the Basic Level and above.

    3. Please save your confirmation email for future reference. 

    4. Check your confirmation letter for information about Vendor No-Conflict times, and stay tuned for information about our Silent Auction, always a great source of unique Alaska items!

    5. If you also plan to attend sessions and have conference meals (meals in-person only), please register each individual attendee for your organization attending under the Member and Attendee Registration.
